The global funding system is in disarray and unlikely to survive in its present form. Some have suggested that the freeze on USAID funding, combined with cuts from other donor countries, may be a blessing in disguise. Rather than mourning the decline of bilateral aid, we would be better served by recognising that our shared future lies in the power of people-led movements focussed on peace and social justice. What might this look like in practice?

Join a conversation with Marija Jakovljiević and Martin Macwan facilitated by Barry Knight, where we explore how people-led movements can teach us to reclaim and resource our collective power. This conversation forms part of Reforming International Development supported by the H&S Davidson Trust. Register Here.
