RINGO Community Gathering: Decolonising Advisory Community
The Decolonising Advisory Community is much more than a digital platform: it is a catalyst for collaborative change. It is a community for decolonising advisors from the majority world to connect, share stories of impact and discuss best practice. It is a hub for innovative resources designed to enhance your understanding, fuel your initiatives and drive real change in the world. It is an opportunity for INGOs to engage with experts from the majority world for strategic support and guidance on how to decolonise your organisation, whatever stage you are at in your journey to shift the power.
The Decolonising Advisory Community emerged from the RINGO prototyping process and is hosted by the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI). The innovation brings together the demand and supply sides of facilitated decolonising processes: we are all still unpacking what it means to decolonise and the platform provides a space to work through this collectively.
During the online RINGO Community Gathering, the session will have the first reveal of the new website and explore the different sections of the platform. An expert in the field will reflect on how the Decolonising Advisory Community will impact their work, and we will welcome your questions and comments. Beyond the 90 minute session, an additional 15 minutes will set for informal discussion with the RINGO community where we can share ideas, insights and experiences related to this initiative.

The session will be in English with live interpretation in French and Spanish.
We understand that it may be challenging for some people in certain time zones to attend the gathering, and will endeavour to share a recording on the RINGO website after the event.
