Comuá Network – Month of Philanthropy
What will be the focus of the month in 2024?
In 2024, the Month of Transformative Philanthropy will address local climate solutions produced by and with movements, collectives, organizations and communities in various territories, and strategies developed and/or financed (supported) by independent donor organizations to make resources arrive for the implementation of these solutions, in the understanding that climate change is transversal to the agendas of community philanthropy and socio-environmental justice.
What do we want?
Give visibility to the strategies developed by the member organizations of the Comuá Network, partners and funders, recognizing that community philanthropy and socio-environmental justice play a fundamental role in the climate issue by donating so that these local solutions are implemented and transform the realities. We want to value the generation of knowledge from the practices developed by the communities in the various territories and thus focus on expanding the donation of resources intended to support the implementation of basic local climate solutions, that is, civil society.
What are the planned activities?
This year, we will disseminate knowledge, content and activities that demonstrate the practices developed by community philanthropy and socio-environmental justice to support with financial resources and/or co-create local climate solutions. And stories of transformation carried out by communities and groups in their territories from these local solutions.
How to participate?
Collaborating with the dissemination of this initiative, adding to the activities and campaigns promoted by Rede Comuá and its members.
