RINGO research report launch – voices from the South 2
West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), in partnership with the Zambia Governance Foundation (ZGF), UnidOSC, the East Africa Philanthropy Network (EAPN), and Social Innovations Advisory, warmly invites you to the launch of the latest RINGO Research Report on Wednesday 30th April, 12:00-13:30 GMT.
Voices from the South 2 investigates the evolving dynamics between funders, INGOs and local and national civil society organisations, and asks:
What can INGOs and funders do to shift power?
In this moment where the international development sector is experiencing unprecedented shifts, it is crucial that local and national civil society organisations in the majority world shape the global discourse as we seek to transform the system.
Voices from the South: What can INGOs and funders do to shift power? is a bold, multi-regional study that surfaces perspectives from civil society actors across Africa, Asia, and Latin America—calling on INGOs and funders to shift power, listen deeply and co-create more just and equitable systems of global collaboration.
The report builds on our first Voices from the South study in 2021 that looked at power imbalances and systemic inequalities in North-South NGO relationships.
Join Dr Nana Afadzinu, Nancy Kankam Kusi, Charles Kojo Vandyck and Jimm Chick Fomunjong (WACSI) and members of the regional research teams to hear the key takeaways from the report and explore what these findings mean in our transformation work.
