Every day across Africa, civil society champions do the essential work of helping people, making their voices heard and protecting human rights. The EPIC Africa African CSO Awards exist to make this impact visible, celebrated and amplified.
By and for Africans, and open to formal and informal civil society organizations (CSOs), the Awards aim to elevate the extraordinary organizations and individuals driving community-led development. There are five award categories:
- Doers: CSOs at the frontline of community-led development, co-creating and delivering solutions that are rooted in local realities.
- Supporters: CSOs that strengthen the capacity, visibility and sustainability of frontline doers by offering tools, training, services and support.
- Enablers: CSOs that operate at the ecosystem level to create enabling conditions for community-led development to flourish.
- Emerging Leaders: Under-35 innovators shaping the next generation of African civil society.
- Lifetime Achievers: Visionaries whose long-term commitment has transformed communities for decades.
The deadline for entries and nominations is 28 February 2026. Full details about the Awards are available here, including how you can nominate someone you know!
